What's new this season
Season 8 has a large cast of 28 housemates once wildcards are counted. Before it started, a pre-show called Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha picked commoners for the main house. Four made it on launch night: Eldho George, Rakesh Jacob, Loletta Loryne Rodrigues and Shijin S. Only Shijin is still in the game.
The season has also leaned on big twists. Week 1 had a spot eviction on Day 2. In Week 2, Eldho gave up his captaincy to bring Gayathri back. Week 4 then had the show's first mass eviction, with every housemate nominated and six sent home in one episode, while two of the "evicted" were hidden in the Secret Room and later returned.
Latest eviction: Nilina's exit
Nilina entered as a wildcard on Day 28 and was among the wildcards made joint leaders the next day. In Week 6 she was one of ten housemates nominated, along with Aiswarya, Anjali, Azif, Neha, Noby, Rahul, Santhosh, Shijin and Vedangi. Episode logs and fan vote trackers report that she was evicted at the end of the week. The week before, Eldho George left after ending up in the final two with Gautham Sasi.
