Bigg Boss 20: What Really Happened in the Gullu vs Nakul Fight

Bigg Boss 20 had its first big physical clash this week. Wildcard contestant Nakul Dhull and housemate Kushal Tanwar, better known as Gullu, came to blows in an episode that aired on 13 October 2026, and the reaction spilled out of the house – including a pointed post from Elvish Yadav. Here is what we know about how the fight started, what happened, what Bigg Boss has said so far, and what is still unconfirmed.

Who are Gullu and Nakul?

Kushal Tanwar (Gullu) is a familiar reality TV face. He won MTV Roadies XX: Double Cross in 2025 as a member of Elvish Yadav's gang, and has also appeared on Splitsvilla. He entered Bigg Boss 20 on premiere night, 6 September.

Nakul Dhull is a digital creator known for short comedy skits and vlogs, with a large regional following on Instagram. He entered the house as one of two wildcards in Week 6, alongside TV actor Manish Goel.

What triggered the fight

Reports agree that the clash did not begin between Gullu and Nakul at all. It grew out of an argument involving Qazi Touqeer and Tanmay "ScoutOP" Singh. According to India TV's account of the episode, Qazi had joked about ScoutOP, and Nakul felt jokes in that group were also being made at his expense. He confronted Qazi over it.

Several reports say Gullu then stepped in, by some accounts to calm things down. Words were exchanged – India TV reports Gullu asking Nakul "Bhidna hai kya?" ("Do you want to fight?") – and the two began pushing each other. Reports say Nakul grabbed Gullu by the collar before other housemates rushed in to pull them apart.

A note on the details: some early headlines used words like "slap" or "hits", but the fuller accounts of the episode describe pushing, shoving and a collar grab. Until the full footage is out, it is fairest to say it was a physical scuffle.

How the other housemates reacted

Mahhi Vij was visibly upset during the clash. India TV reports she shouted "How dare you?" at Nakul and asked Bigg Boss to remove him from the house; NewsX reports she was heard saying "Haath uthayega yahan par aake." NewsX also reports that Aasif Khan asked Bigg Boss to act against Nakul.

What Bigg Boss has done so far

Update, 17 October: the question is settled. In the 14 October episode Bigg Boss said physical violence has no place in the house, and Nakul Dhull had to leave, as reported by Outlook, NewsBytes and episode recaps. Physical violence is one of the clearest rule breaks on Bigg Boss. In the promo for the 14 October episode, Bigg Boss says that "a major law of my house has been broken", which suggests the makers will address the fight on air.

What the punishment will be is not yet known, and reports flatly contradict each other:

• Early social media posts, picked up by outlets such as Siasat and Jagran, said Bigg Boss had asked Nakul to leave the house, barely a day after his entry.
• Later reports, citing India Forums and unnamed production sources, said Nakul had not been evicted and was still in the house.
• Neither Colors nor JioHotstar had officially confirmed any eviction or punishment at the time of writing.

Salman Khan has not yet addressed the fight. His next chance is the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, where he usually takes up the week's biggest controversies. For context, there is precedent for strict action: in Bigg Boss 13, Salman removed Madhurima Tuli after she hit Vishal Aditya Singh with a frying pan, saying the show did not tolerate violent behaviour.

Gullu's team and the timing question

Gullu's team alleged that Nakul came in with a plan to start a fight and demanded his eviction. They also raised a timing question: reports about a fight began circulating on Saturday, while the fight itself reportedly happened on Sunday night. This is an allegation from one side, and it has not been independently established. Some reports separately claim Nakul wanted a quick exit, but those claims are also unverified.

Elvish Yadav's post

Elvish Yadav, who was Gullu's gang leader on Roadies, posted on X on 13 October: "Itne time baad aaj biggboss dekha Rules change hogye shayad ab jo pitra hai usi ko bahar karre hai. Sad #BiggBoss20." Roughly translated: he watched Bigg Boss after a long time, and it seems the rules have changed – now the one who gets beaten is the one being sent out. He did not name anyone, but fans widely read it as a comment on how the fight was being handled and as support for Gullu.
