Who has left so far: On premiere night, a "Fans Ka Faisla" audience vote picked Love Gill over Rhiya Ahir, so Rhiya did not stay in the house. Rohed Khan was the first housemate evicted, Isha Rikhi went out on a Weekend Ka Vaar after about three weeks, and Rhiti Tiwari was removed in a mid-week twist decided by a group of housemates. Reports also say wildcard Nakul Dhull was taken out a day after entering, following a fight with Gullu, but the makers had not officially confirmed this at the time of writing. Theme and the house

The makers have built this season around "Tathas-two", a play on the word tathastu ("so be it") and the number two. The idea is duality – and it shows up directly in the game. Each housemate starts with two lives. Getting the lowest votes or losing a twist costs one life, and only when both are gone is a contestant out. Some reports describe this second chance as a vardaan or "jeevan daan". It has already changed the game: in some weeks the lowest-voted housemate lost a life instead of leaving, which is why there have been weeks with no regular eviction.

The house follows a colourful "Wonderland" look built on the same duality idea, with surreal, fantasy-style rooms and animal motifs. Reported highlights include a food-truck style kitchen, a shark-themed pool in the garden and special rooms used for secret twists. As always, the house is covered by dozens of cameras round the clock.

Weekly format – nominations, tasks and Weekend Ka Vaar

The basic rhythm of Bigg Boss has stayed the same for years, with new twists added each season:

• Nominations: early in the week, housemates nominate each other for eviction. Captains and special powers can save or directly nominate people.
• Captaincy and tasks: mid-week tasks decide the new captain, rations and immunity. This season's Room 2X twists have even let a captain restore lifelines for other housemates.
• Audience voting: viewers vote for nominated contestants on JioHotstar during the week.
• Weekend Ka Vaar: Salman Khan returns on Saturday and Sunday to review the week, scold or praise housemates, bring in celebrity guests and announce who loses a life or leaves.
• Wildcards: new contestants enter mid-season to shake things up – Week 6 brought Manish Goel and Nakul Dhull.
