Story
Guddu, Adi, Lallan, Manav and Johnny have never met a shortcut to riches they did not like. This time they hear about a treasure that has stayed hidden for around a hundred years – the "Treasure of Life" – and, as always, every one of them wants it.
The catch: the only clue to where it is lies in the memory of a man named Prithvi. And the boys are not the only ones chasing it – a pirate called Adhoora and his gang join the race. What follows is a loud, chaotic, slapstick adventure full of chases, double-crosses and silly disguises, in classic Dhamaal style.

Dhamaal movies in order
New to the franchise? Each film is a stand-alone treasure-hunt comedy, so you can start anywhere, but here is the order:
- Dhamaal (2007) – the original, with Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Aashish Chaudhary and Sanjay Dutt racing to find hidden loot.
- Double Dhamaal (2011) – the same gang returns, this time trying to get even with a con man who has struck it rich.
- Total Dhamaal (2019) – Ajay Devgn joins the franchise, alongside Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, in a cross-country race for stolen money.
- Dhamaal 4 (2026) – the gang reunites for the hunt for the "Treasure of Life".
Indra Kumar has directed every film in the series, which is why the tone stays the same: no logic, lots of noise, and a big ensemble that plays off each other.
Is Dhamaal 4 worth watching?
Reviews were mixed. Critics who liked it called it a clean, family-friendly entertainer and enjoyed Ajay Devgn's straight-faced comedy; others felt many of the jokes fell flat and that the film slows down when it turns into a survival adventure. It still drew good crowds in cinemas, especially families.
Why watch it
If you want a switch-off, laugh-out-loud film for a family evening, Dhamaal 4 does the job. The chemistry between Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Javed Jaffrey – together since 2007 – is the real fun.
