Story
Baby Karmarkar cannot hear or speak, yet she is one of the most feared killers in Mumbai's underworld. She takes contracts through PM Jain – "Papa" – the man who trained her, and many of those jobs trace back to a powerful builder, Zafar Katkar.
In her silent world there is only one voice Baby can hear: that of her dead sister. As the bodies pile up, a determined police inspector, Anjum Khan, starts closing in, and a gentle music teacher, Siddhu, walks into Baby's life and falls for her. Why does Baby really kill, and what happened to her sister all those years ago? The film keeps those answers close until its final act.

What makes Baby Do Die Do different
Bollywood has had plenty of assassin films, but very few built around a heroine who never says a word. A few things set this one apart:
- A silent lead. Baby never speaks, so Huma Qureshi has to carry the role through her eyes and body language. Even critics who disliked the film praised her commitment.
- A noir Mumbai. The film gives overcrowded Mumbai a slick, stylised noir look that one review called unlike anything else in recent Hindi cinema.
- Unusual casting. Chunky Panday, best known for comedy, plays the killer's sinister mentor and drew strong praise, while Sikandar Kher brings quiet menace as Zafar.
- A playful soundtrack. Arjun Iyer's songs, most of which he also wrote, add a cheeky contrast to the violence.
- A family project. Huma co-produced it with her brother Saqib Saleem, who also appears in the film.
Reviews were mixed: some critics loved its style and boldness, others found the first half slow and the plot convoluted. Most agreed the second half picks up once the mystery around Baby's sister comes into focus.
